The next BSDCon will be sponsored by USENIX.
We don't have much information yet, but we do know:
The conference will be in early 2002 (probably end of February/early
March). This change in dates means that there will not be a BSDCon 2001, as
the 2002 conference is occuring so shortly afterwards.
An exact location has not yet been announced, but they are looking to hold
in in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sam Leffler will be the conference chair.
We'll put up more information as we have it.
BSDCon 2000!
Welcome to the BSDCon web site. This year we will be holding our second
annual BSD Conference and Expo! You may have also noticed we've changed
the name of the conference from FreeBSDCon to simply BSDCon. This is
in hopes of getting folks from the other BSDs out there to attend and
give presentations.
As with last year, we will have a range of speakers, tutorials, demos,
workshops, panels, presentations, discussions, and exhibits, not to mention
a chance to mingle with other users and various BSD developers.
BSDCon 2000 will be held in Monterey,
California, at the Hyatt Regency Monterey,
which is located minutes from the Monterey Bay Aquarium, downtown Monterey,
Fisherman's Wharf, Carmel-by-the-Sea, Cannery Row, and Pebble Beach golf
courses. It's only 5 minutes to the Monterey Airport, and only 60 minutes
from the San Jose Airport.
